MEET THE JUDGES

ULKA

ULKA is an upcycled fashion brand created by a brother and sister duo, Ulka Legowska and Kuba Kubasiewicz. They started upcycling in 2018, remodeling furniture and turning leftover fabric scraps into backpacks and bags. Their first upcycled clothing was created for a Polish artist who still wears the piece to this day. ULKA can be found in six cities between Poland and New York.

Natan Guerra

Natan was crowned Upcyclers World’s Top Upcycler 2025. He is the founder of Arnant, a sustainable fashion brand focused on creative material reuse. He has been upcycling for three years, transforming discarded fashion waste into clothes, bags, and accessories.

Aguida Zanol

Aguida is a multidisciplinary designer with over 20 years of experience in upcycling and sustainable design. Her work spans fashion, accessories, furniture, interiors, and object design. She is the founder of AZ Ecodesign, a collaborative space focused on rethinking products through design strategy, art direction, and regenerative economy principles.

Eligibility

Worldwide; ages 18+.
Not eligible: Upcyclers employees/contractors/affiliates/sponsors and immediate family.
No purchase necessary; void where prohibited.

Post or list your upcycled denim with #bestdenimupcycler.
Existing posts/listings also qualify.
Entry window: Jan 5 – Mar 31, 2026 (PST).

Prizes

Grand Prize: USD $500.
Paid via PayPal or bank within 14 days; non‑transferable; winner covers any fees/taxes.

Judging

Top 5 entries with the most likes as of Mar 31, 2026, advance to the finals (one finalist per person).
Judges’ scores — Creativity 40%, Craftsmanship 30%, Sustainability 20%, Storytelling 10% (tie → higher creativity wins).
