Thriftflip: I turn rejected ukay-ukay bags into high-fashion masterpieces. Faced with unsellable, wrinkled, and hole-ridden vintage bags, I chose to create art. This streetwear piece is purely hand-sewn, featuring a vibrant, custom-embroidered cat on the back. I endured hours forcing a needle through heavy canvas, leather, and rubber glue just to bring this to life. Even better? The hood and backpack are fully detachable. It’s unique, sustainable, and proof that thrift can become luxury."

I found a stained nature inspired print children's dress on the thrift shop and used it to upcycle a thrifted skinny jeans and polo shirt. I used the fabric to patch the company logo on the shirt and to widen the skinny jeans bottom part. I also turned a paisley printed skirt into a shoulder bag.

This Denim jacket I purchased at one of our local secondhand shops. Too upcycled it and elevate its look, I used a simple straight stitch to sew on some selected pieces of scrap fabric giving it a unique one of a kind look. I am excited to be part of the #thriftflip

This one-of-a-kind dress was created by transforming discarded denim jeans and second-hand shirts into a dramatic corset-inspired silhouette. The structured bodice features exposed denim seams that enhance texture and shape, while metal studs below the bust add a bold, edgy detail. The sides are finished with eyelets and lace-up closures, allowing the fit and skirt volume to be adjusted. The asymmetrical skirt combines different denim washes and repurposed shirt

Made this weddingsuit of a tent and leftover african fabric. I,d cut up the tent and cleaned the fabric. Then i made the suit. I used several details of the tent in the jacket.

Thrifted denim long sleeve polo shirt was upcycled into butterfly sleeve bolero using old denim pants, while a damaged light blue pants and a thrifted oversized long skirt turned into saya. Left over fabrics were used to make earrings, necklace and used as replacement for damaged sandal strap.

Needle and wet felted sheep picture for cushion cover. Using scraps, donated wool and thread. Embroidery, appliqué used as well.

This outfit is created from an old unused saree in my house, I upcycled that saree into traditional attire sharara and short kurta with flaunting this look with a another dress dupatta. It took me upto 2 weeks to complete this look... This project has it's own challenges because the fabric of this saree is very soft and slippery so it's time taking to handle that... I have used old unused saree, laces are upcycled from old dresses.

Used old jeans legs to make a two piece set skirt and shirt was made from scraps for a charity called Denim Day Detroit.

This Giani Bernini bag was gifted to my mom by my aunt and she really loved it. So she used it until it was no more usable. Since it’s something precious to her, she wanted me to upcycle it into something useful. The handles on the bag were absolutely destroyed but I could use almost 80% of the rest of the bag. What came out of it is this beautiful tie-up top and a pair of hand gloves.
