Thriftflip: I turn rejected ukay-ukay bags into high-fashion masterpieces. Faced with unsellable, wrinkled, and hole-ridden vintage bags, I chose to create art. This streetwear piece is purely hand-sewn, featuring a vibrant, custom-embroidered cat on the back. I endured hours forcing a needle through heavy canvas, leather, and rubber glue just to bring this to life. Even better? The hood and backpack are fully detachable. It’s unique, sustainable, and proof that thrift can become luxury."

I use discarded Curtains, bedsheet blanket and (Red,Yellow and Blue) dresses sourced from a local thrift market( Kantamatu-Accra, Ghana ) Deconstructed and washed them to come up with this masterpiece.

This one-of-a-kind dress was created by transforming discarded denim jeans and second-hand shirts into a dramatic corset-inspired silhouette. The structured bodice features exposed denim seams that enhance texture and shape, while metal studs below the bust add a bold, edgy detail. The handwoven sando is made from denim side seams, the mermaid skirt is crafted from reclaimed denim waistbands, and the dramatic cape is assembled from denim patchwork. For this design, 20 damaged pairs of jeans destined for disposal were upcycled and given a new life, turning waste into a statement of creativity and sustainability. ♻️✨

started with the bottom half of a pair of jeans. cut, reconstructed, and turned into this skirt. reflective stripes, vintage zippers from old projects, aros, lobster hooks - every detail has a past life. no new materials & no waste. just what was already here and made into something worth wearing again.

Used old jeans legs to make a two piece set skirt and shirt was made from scraps for a charity called Denim Day Detroit.

This video shows a purse upcycled from pool inflatables, using a patchwork technique and creating panels for stability. A chunky zipper and chain add contrast and functionality to this purse. The punctured pool inflatable was a spaceship in bright design, an orange swim ring and bubble plastic as stabiliser. The process is collecting, cleaning, making a pattern, cutting. Sewing with PVC is pretty unforgiving as each stitch creates a hole hence all has to be done right from the start!
