The Story

My project started from discarded jeans to a one-of-a-kind triangle bomber.

The denim was gathered from my surroundings like neighbours, friends, people from work and complemented with lots sourced from second-hand shops. Each pair was washed, then carefully selected for its most durable sections and hand-cut into individual triangles.

The colour palette emerged from what I found, allowing the denim itself to guide the design.

The resulting patchwork was then adapted to my original bomber patterns and constructed into a new garment.

Techniques: thrift flipping, denim deconstruction, hand cutting, patchwork piecing, colour composition, pattern adaptation and garment construction.
