From four pairs of jeans to one unique jacket ✂️💙
Four pairs of jeans, bought for next to nothing at a local thrift shop, and leftover pieces of wax fabric from previous sewing projects became a completely new jacket. ❤️
I deconstructed the four pairs of jeans and reused their denim panels, waistbands and pockets. The leftover wax fabrics were combined into a colourful patchwork design, with the geometric motif on the back as the centrepiece.
I added wax fabric to the front bands, collar, cuffs and pockets, and used small scraps for the appliqués. The patchwork was pieced and stitched by hand and machine.
Even the smallest scraps found a purpose, and two of the original jean waistbands were reused inside the jacket to give it structure.
From second-hand jeans and leftover fabric scraps to a unique, wearable jacket — nothing went to waste. ❤️
