To create this garment, I collected 5 old pairs of jeans, washed them, and deconstructed them by removing the rivets. I drafted the patterns for a jacket and cut each piece, making the most of the original pockets and shades. For the front welt pockets, I used the thinnest denim and softer fabric to make it lighter. On the back, I designed a patchwork piece of my favorite character using fabric scraps and faux leather. During the creation of this piece in July, I was finishing my training as a pattern-drafting student, which is why I am wearing my technical academy uniform in the video. However, the entire design and creation were entirely my own concept and authorship. This long and challenging process gave those old pants a new life, turning them into a completely different, functional, and beautiful garment. Thank you, blessings.
