The Story
The dress was created using polyester textile waste and discarded delivery packaging, all donated and fused together using a heat gun. The sculptural volumes were built through a process of layering, adding and manipulating plastic, gradually shaping the material directly into the garment. The aim of the piece was to highlight the amount of waste generated by everyday consumption while exploring the creative potential of materials that would otherwise be discarded. Rather than concealing their origin, the project embraces their irregularity, texture and excess, transforming waste into a wearable artistic object.
