The Story
Hello everyone. I repurposed several pairs of jeans to create this jacket. I used various waistbands with their original buttons and also added other buttons to create the uniform design on the front. The sleeves are actually the legs of a pair of jeans that had some very interesting pockets, which I felt were worth using as whole pieces. And the back is made from several pieces of the same jeans' heels. First, I created several designs in Adobe Illustrator to get a clear idea of what pieces to make. Then I drafted the jacket pattern in size M. After that came the hard work: I spent several days dismantling the waistbands of the pants, and then it also took a considerable amount of time to fit the pieces together in the back. I decided to use the back pockets from some pants and place them upside down. The back was very tricky to sew with jumbled pieces. The bottom edge is also a complete waistband and finally, I added a metal zipper from another recycled sweater to close the front.

love how every little detail was given a new purpose—from the waistbands and pockets to the recycled zipper. You can really see the time, patience, and creativity behind it. Such a beautiful example of upcycling!
