This look is part of my project called Sulapa': A Gentle Strength. The idea is inspired by Bugis philosophy of "Sulapa' Eppa" (literal meaning: square/four sides), talking about elements in nature, worldview and human principles. This one is representing Water which meant to convey the idea of it's gentle yet continuous flow. So, I design this to be a two in one look consisting of a midi dress and a shrug.
• The materials: Silk from fashion gallery waste combined with unused Lipa' Sabbe (Bugis handwoven sarong) of my own. • Key construction: High-low hem, vertical center paneling, asymmetrical sleeve with ruffles.
